State Grid International Financing Leasing Co. , Ltd. has successfully issued its eighth green medium-term note of 2026, a carbon-neutral bond with a total size of RMB 1.5 billion. Bank of Nanjing served as the lead underwriter, bookrunner, and ongoing management institution for the bond, coordinating the entire issuance process. The proceeds are designated for key West-to-East power transmission projects, which are expected to alleviate the uneven distribution of energy resources and reduce the curtailment of wind and solar power.
The project employs ultra-high-voltage transmission technology, which reduces resistance losses by increasing voltage levels and lowering current intensity, enabling long-distance, high-capacity, and cost-effective power transmission. Bank of Nanjing has made green finance a core strategic focus, concentrating on clean energy, green infrastructure, energy conservation, and environmental protection. The bank continues to provide regional central state-owned enterprises and local state-owned enterprises with one-stop services including green bond underwriting and comprehensive financing.
