On August 10, 2026, the Central Meteorological Observatory issued a weather advisory stating that due to Typhoon Baihaitun penetrating inland, sustained widespread heavy rain will affect Zhejiang, Shanghai, Jiangsu, Anhui, Hubei, Henan, Hebei and other areas over the next three days, with locally torrential downpours, and some regions will experience short-duration intense rainfall, thunderstorm gales and other convective weather. As a result, food delivery and courier services in the affected areas have activated dynamic adjustment mechanisms. At a Meituan rider station in Baoshan District, Shanghai, operations were adjusted dynamically based on the typhoon's severity. The station notified riders one day in advance to prepare for the typhoon, with riders equipped with waterproof bags, raincoats, power banks and other supplies.
