China North Industries Leads Central Enterprise Robot Consortium, Unveils Ten Innovations
On August 21, 2026, at the World Robot Conference, China North Industries Group, under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, led more than 100 central enterprises, universities, research institutes, private firms and industry associations to formally establish the Central Enterprises Robot Innovation Consortium. The consortium released ten innovation achievements and ten high-value application scenarios spanning robotics hardware, intelligent algorithms, energy, agriculture, transport and hazardous environments, demonstrating a complete industrial chain from basic materials to scaled deployment.
On August 21, 2026, during the 2026 World Robot Conference, under the guidance of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council, China North Industries Group led more than 100 institutions, including central enterprises, universities, research institutes, private companies and industry associations, to formally establish the Central Enterprises Robot Innovation Consortium. The consortium simultaneously released ten innovation achievements and ten high-value application scenarios for central-enterprise robotics.
The ten innovation achievements span multiple fields, including the embodied-intelligence product matrix for special operations developed by China North Industries Group, deep-sea optical cable laying equipment from CRRC Group, the heavy converter precision positioning intelligent installation system from China Minmetals, the high-thrust-density embodied-intelligence integrated linear joint from China Aerospace Science and Technology Corporation, high-reliability planetary roller screw products from China State Shipbuilding Corporation, radiation- or magnetization-oriented sintered neodymium-iron-boron magnetic rings from China Rare Earth Group, tomato harvesting robot interaction perception and precision control algorithms from SINOMACH, high-magnesium lightweight high-strength aluminum structural parts for robots from GRINM, the tunnel segment intelligent assembly system from China Railway Construction Corporation, and the IEC TC 129 power robot international standard system from State Grid Corporation of China.
The ten high-value application scenarios include intelligent inspection and treatment in complex harsh environments, carton depalletizing and handling at logistics distribution centers, picking and delivery in automobile assembly workshops, unmanned intelligent crop harvesting, plateau tunnel operations under complex geological conditions, automated sampling across the full steelmaking converter process, civil aviation luggage transfer and smart services, operations in fire- and explosion-prone high-risk environments, live intelligent inspection and maintenance across full voltage levels of transmission lines, and collaborative precision assembly in shipbuilding. The central enterprises showcased a complete industrial system spanning basic materials, core components, robot bodies, intelligent algorithms, data infrastructure and industrialized deployment, achieving breakthroughs in multiple hardware and intelligent core technologies and completing the full chain from technology development to large-scale application.
