China Satcom Joins IMT-2030 (6G) Group's Satellite-Terrestrial Integration Working Group

Under the guidance of the Department of Information and Communication Development of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Satellite-Terrestrial Integration (NTN) Working Group of the IMT-2030 (6G) Promotion Group was formally established in Beijing recently. China Satcom has been invited to join the working group as one of its founding members. The establishment of this working group is intended to promote research and standard development for 6G satellite-terrestrial integrated networks.

The NTN Working Group's primary responsibilities include guiding and supporting domestic organizations in developing international technical standards, coordinating the overall layout of 6G satellite-terrestrial integrated networks, nurturing core 6G satellite communication technologies, and facilitating collaboration among industry, academia, research, and application sectors. Its scope of work covers satellite air interface access technology, satellite terminal technology, satellite-terrestrial integrated network technology, and operations, maintenance, and application technologies.
