China Services Trade Fair 2026 Spotlights Overseas Staff Safety as Insurers Build Full-Chain Cover

Published: Updated: By 24TopNews Editorial Desk

At the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, overseas personnel safety and risk management for Chinese enterprises drew focus as geopolitical and social risks grow more complex. Leading insurers including China Pacific Property Insurance, Bank of China Insurance and Ping An Property Insurance are building closed-loop services spanning pre-warning, incident response and post-loss claims. China Pacific Property Insurance launched a strategic partnership with Control Risks, Bank of China Insurance rolled out export supply chain products, and Ping An Property Insurance introduced the Ping An 24 outbound safety package.

During the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, the safety and risk management of Chinese enterprises' overseas personnel became a focus of attention. As Chinese companies continue to expand their overseas footprint, risks such as geopolitical conflict and public security have grown increasingly complex and volatile. The safety of personnel and assets, advance warning, crisis response and personnel evacuation have become practical issues for companies going global. Traditional overseas insurance products focus on post-loss indemnity and struggle to meet the risk protection needs of enterprises expanding abroad. Overseas insurance solutions must fully account for host-country laws and regulations, regulatory requirements and local conditions. Beyond ensuring that policies are compliant and valid, they also require supporting local service networks, multilingual support and rapid claims response mechanisms, with greater emphasis on global resource coordination and localized service capabilities.

A number of leading insurers are accelerating the build-out of full-chain overseas risk service capabilities, establishing closed-loop mechanisms that run from advance risk warning and incident response to post-loss insurance indemnity. During the 2026 China International Fair for Trade in Services, China Pacific Property Insurance, under China Pacific Insurance, and Control Risks officially launched a strategic partnership to create an integrated "insurance plus overseas risk services" solution. Bank of China Insurance introduced a series of export supply chain insurance products combining three core lines: export cargo transportation insurance, export trade credit insurance and commercial general liability insurance. Dai Jia, general manager of Aon-COFCO Insurance Brokers, noted that Chinese enterprises' risk protection needs are shifting from traditional lines such as cargo insurance and engineering insurance toward packaged risk protection solutions covering multiple lines including engineering insurance, employee accident insurance and cargo insurance.

In providing risk protection and service support for enterprises' overseas projects, insurers are shifting toward full-chain risk assessment. In a large Belt and Road hydropower station project, given the complex geological conditions, high natural disaster and political risks at the project site, a property insurer provided an insurance solution covering earthquake, tsunami, strike and other risks through preliminary risk assessment, and relied on the "Eagle Eye" system for remote monitoring and assessment, while offering round-the-clock claims reporting and claims response services. Following its cooperation with Control Risks, China Pacific Insurance can provide corporate clients with country risk alerts, security risk consulting, security assessments for overseas projects, emergency incident support, coordination of personnel safety evacuation and related insurance protection services. Ping An Property Insurance launched "Ping An 24" comprehensive outbound safety protection, providing outbound clients with medical and security services spanning before, during and after travel, covering emergencies such as war, riots, terrorist attacks, kidnapping, hijacking and natural disasters.
