China Tightens CCC Certification Rules for Electronic Bidets, Electric Blankets From October 2026

The State Administration for Market Regulation (SAMR) recently issued an announcement on mandatory product certification implementation rules for electronic bidets, electric blankets, electric heating pads and similar flexible heating appliances, adjusting CCC certification requirements for these products. The stricter requirements will take effect on October 1, 2026.

The announcement, closely aligned with the products' industry characteristics, safety profiles and production processes, clarifies priorities for enterprise quality assurance capability and product consistency control. It strengthens post-certification supervision, refines sampling and testing requirements, and introduces more scientific classification-based management of enterprises, covering the entire CCC certification chain for electronic bidets, electric blankets, electric heating pads and similar flexible heating appliances. The rules also reinforce the primary responsibilities of all parties involved in certification activities.
