China's 15th Five-Year Plan Boosts Low-Orbit Satellite Broadband

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology has issued the 15th Five-Year Plan for the Development of the Information and Communications Industry, which outlines measures to enhance low-orbit satellite internet capabilities. The plan calls for achieving global coverage of satellite broadband communication networks, improving the payload functions and performance of low-orbit satellites, and realizing single-satellite capacity exceeding 100 Gbps. It also supports core capabilities such as inter-satellite links and on-board processing to provide high-speed satellite internet services.
