The 8th China Grain Trade Conference opened on September 5 in Changsha, Hunan province. At the event, it was reported that China currently has 24,000 grain enterprises, with a combined annual industrial output value exceeding RMB 4 trillion. More than one-third of provinces have achieved an output value exceeding RMB 100 billion. Nationwide, 33 provincial-level regional public brands and 117 city- and county-level grain regional public brands have been established.

China's annual grain output has remained stable at over 650 million tonnes, and in both 2024 and 2025 it exceeded 700 million tonnes. In 2025, per capita grain availability reached 508.9 kg, surpassing the world average. Grain inventories remain at a relatively high level, with an optimized structure and layout, sufficient to meet supply security needs. The country's standard grain warehouses have a total usable capacity exceeding 730 million tonnes, of which 220 million tonnes—or 30%—are equipped with low-temperature or quasi-low-temperature storage capabilities.

The conference runs from September 5 to September 7, featuring displays of premium grain and oil products, intelligent grain machinery, and a sales fair for high-quality grain and oil products from poverty-alleviated regions. A total of 3,100 grain and oil enterprises from across the country are participating.
