Published: Updated: By 24TopNews Editorial Desk

China's leading internet companies have moved their 2026 autumn campus recruitment cycle forward, launching hiring for 2027 graduates in midsummer. Alibaba Group and 16 affiliated business units opened recruitment on August 5, with AI-related positions accounting for 80% of openings. ByteDance's technology and product roles exceed 70% of its recruitment, with product positions up 20% year on year. Baidu's AI-related positions account for over 90% of its 2027 campus hiring. Companies are emphasizing demand for AI composite talent, with new roles spanning AI full-stack engineering, AI Agent development, and interdisciplinary positions requiring humanities backgrounds.

The 2026 autumn campus recruitment cycle at major internet companies has been significantly advanced, with several leading firms launching hiring for the class of 2027 in midsummer. Alibaba Group, together with 16 business groups and companies including Taotian Group, Alibaba Cloud, Alibaba International, Token Foundry, Qianwen Office, the Qianwen Business Unit, T-Head and Amap, opened recruitment simultaneously on August 5, covering eight job categories spanning algorithms, research and development, chips and products, with AI-related positions accounting for 80% of openings. At Taotian Group, all positions are AI-focused, with AI technical roles exceeding 90% of the total; design, product and analysis positions are also concentrated in areas such as AI visual design, AI experience design and AI business analysis. Alibaba Cloud and T-Head have released a substantial number of chip-related positions.

ByteDance launched its 2027 campus recruitment this week, with technology and product positions accounting for more than 70% of demand. Product positions are up 20% year on year, more than half of which are AI product roles. Algorithm positions have also increased, and the company has for the first time created roles such as AI full-stack engineer and AI Agent developer. ByteDance has opened an "early bird channel" for AI product manager positions, with related recruitment starting on July 13; applications through this channel do not count against the regular campus recruitment quota. Baidu opened its 2027 campus recruitment on July 9, with AI-related positions accounting for more than 90% of openings. DeepSeek released a large-scale recruitment notice in June 2026, covering seven job categories including algorithms, research and development, operations, products, data engineering and functional departments.

In the 2026 recruitment cycle, Baidu, Alibaba and other companies have all emphasized demand for "AI composite talent". At Alibaba, positions including AI product operations, AI application product manager, overseas user operations and product experience designer all require candidates to demonstrate the ability to apply AI technology to solve real business problems. Taotian Group said it would design customized career development paths for promising newcomers, cultivating them from "technology implementers" into "intelligent system architects". In technical assessment, Alibaba has added AI coding questions to written tests for Alibaba Cloud, the Qianwen Business Unit, Cainiao and other businesses, allowing graduates to use AI tools in a controlled environment to complete project development tasks.

Demand for AI-related positions is showing a parallel trend of vertical deepening in technical roles and horizontal expansion into cross-disciplinary composite roles. AI full-stack engineers, AI Agent process development and large-model engineering deployment have become recruitment hotspots, with companies placing greater emphasis on full-chain practical capability from model packaging and tool invocation to business implementation. Demand is rising rapidly for vertical business roles such as token scheduling and large-model customization for office scenarios. In addition, demand for composite talent with humanities backgrounds, such as philosophy and law, has also increased, as areas including large-model value alignment, content compliance and risk control, and definition of intelligent agent rights and responsibilities require interdisciplinary knowledge support.
