CNOOC-Backed USD 4 Billion Qatar Bul Hanine Redevelopment Starts Construction in Shandong
Construction of the Bul Hanine oilfield redevelopment project in Qatar began in Shandong on 15 September 2026.
The project is the largest international offshore oil and gas engineering contract undertaken by a Chinese company. It is located in waters about 100 kilometres east of Qatar's coastline, where the maximum water depth at the work site is approximately 40 metres.
The total contract value of the project is USD 4 billion.
