EcoCeres, SF Group and China Aviation Oil Launch Commercial SAF Refuelling at Ezhou Huahu Airport, Cutting

Published: Updated: By 24TopNews Editorial Desk

EcoCeres, in collaboration with SF Group and China Aviation Oil, launched a commercial sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) refuelling project at Ezhou Huahu International Airport. The SAF, produced by EcoCeres, will be blended and supplied by China Aviation Oil to SF Airlines' cargo flights, achieving up to 90% greenhouse gas emission reduction compared to conventional jet fuel. The project demonstrates cross-industry collaboration and provides a replicable model for SAF adoption in freight and logistics. EcoCeres will leverage its Hong Kong and China presence to expand SAF networks across passenger and cargo aviation.

EcoCeres announced a customised commercial sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) refuelling project in partnership with SF Group and China Aviation Oil, together with the Second Research Institute of the Civil Aviation Administration of China. The SAF produced by EcoCeres will be blended and supplied by China Aviation Oil to outbound cargo flights operated by SF Airlines, helping SF Airlines achieve up to a 90% reduction in greenhouse gas emissions compared with conventional jet fuel.

SF's Ezhou Huahu International Airport, serving as a demonstration hub for key aviation, plays a central role in this SAF refuelling and operations. The project highlights the effectiveness of cross-industry collaboration among aviation fuel suppliers, cargo airlines, and cargo owners, offering a replicable and scalable development path for the large-scale application of SAF in the freight and logistics sector.

Building on this collaboration, EcoCeres will further leverage its business presence in Hong Kong and China to advance a broader SAF project network, connecting regional feedstock supply, production, and market demand across both passenger and cargo aviation.
