Data from the State Administration for Market Regulation shows that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, China's inspection and testing industry successively surpassed two major milestones of 400 billion yuan and 500 billion yuan. The number of institutions and revenue in emerging fields such as electronic appliances, software and information technology, and electric power both grew at an average annual rate of over 13%, with the revenue share rising by 4.5 percentage points. The industry's growth momentum is accelerating its shift from traditional fields to emerging and high-value-added fields.
