International Integrated Circuit Innovation Expo to Run in Shenzhen Sept 9-11; H1 Chip Output Up 23.1%
The International Integrated Circuit Innovation Expo (IICIE) will be held in Shenzhen from September 9 to 11, showcasing the full chip industry chain and hosting more than 20 summits and forums across automotive, consumer electronics, RISC-V, EDA and IP, AI, storage, security, and industrial control. In the first half of the year, China's integrated circuit output rose 23.1% year on year to 279.8 billion units, while the value added of the electronics information manufacturing industry grew 14.8%, according to data from the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.

The exhibition will showcase the full industry chain, including chip design, wafer fabrication, packaging and testing, core equipment, key materials, and core components. More than 20 summits and professional forums will be held concurrently, focusing on the chip sector and hot application scenarios, with topics covering automotive, consumer electronics, RISC-V, EDA and IP, AI, storage, security, and industrial control. Domestic semiconductor industry continues to grow. According to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, in the first half of the year, the value added of the electronics information manufacturing industry above a designated size increased by 14.8% year on year, with growth rates 9.4 percentage points and 1.5 percentage points higher than that of the overall industry and high-tech manufacturing, respectively. In June, the value added of the electronics information manufacturing industry above a designated size grew by 15.7% year on year. Among major products, industrial robot output reached 538,000 sets, up 28% year on year; new energy vehicle output reached 7.399 million units, up 6% year on year; and integrated circuit output reached 279.8 billion units, up 23.1% year on year.
