Plastic Film on Cables Halts Kansai Airport Line Trains for JR West, Nankai

JR West suspended Kansai Airport Line services between Hineno and Kansai Airport on the morning of the 11th after plastic film was found attached to overhead cables near Rinku Town. Twenty-four trains were canceled, affecting approximately 13,000 passengers, with operations resuming around 9:30 a. m. Nankai Electric Railway also halted services on its Airport Line between Izumisano and Kansai Airport for the same reason.

JR West suspended train operations on the Kansai Airport Line on the morning of the 11th after plastic film became attached to overhead cables. JR West said staff discovered plastic film on overhead cables between Rinku Town and Kansai Airport stations at around 7:15 a. m. , prompting the suspension of services between Hineno and Kansai Airport to carry out removal work. Operations resumed at around 9:30 a. , but a total of 24 trains were canceled, affecting approximately 13,000 passengers.

Nankai Electric Railway also suspended train operations on its Airport Line between Izumisano and Kansai Airport for the same reason.
