MTR Tuen Ma Line Signal Fault Delays Hung Hom-Tuen Mun Trains by 15-25 Minutes
A signal equipment fault near Kam Sheung Road station disrupted MTR Tuen Ma Line services, with two-way train operation implemented on the Hung Hom-Tuen Mun section. The MTR said travel time was extended by 15 to 20 minutes, later increasing to 20 to 25 minutes. Engineers carried out repairs, and the MTR said services gradually returned to normal after the signal equipment was fixed.
A signal equipment fault on the MTR Tuen Ma Line caused train delays, and two-way operation was implemented on the affected section. According to the MTR, the fault occurred near Kam Sheung Road station, adding 15 to 20 minutes to travel time between Hung Hom and Tuen Mun stations. Engineering staff began repair work, and services towards Tuen Mun and Wu Kai Sha were maintained.
The impact continued, with travel time between Hung Hom and Tuen Mun stations extended by an additional 20 to 25 minutes. The MTR said engineering staff were handling the incident and carrying out repairs, and two-way train operation was implemented on the affected section.
By the morning, the MTR said the signal equipment near Kam Sheung Road station had been repaired, and Tuen Ma Line train services were gradually returning to normal.
