NVIDIA Notifies AIC Partners of Full Price Adjustment for RTX 50 Series, Domestic Prices Rise 15% to 25%
NVIDIA last week notified AIC partners of a comprehensive price adjustment for the RTX 50 series graphics cards, leading to a 15% to 25% price increase across the lineup in China. The adjustment, the first such broad move since 2000, was driven by rising GDDR7 memory costs. Some RTX 5060 Ti non-reference models saw overnight increases of nearly 2,000 yuan.
NVIDIA last week issued a price adjustment notice to major AIC partners, comprehensively revising the supply prices for the RTX 50 series graphics cards. As a result, domestic AIC partners suspended quotations until 3:00 PM today, when they resumed with a 15% to 25% price increase across the entire RTX 50 series.
In the Hong Kong market, the RTX 5050 saw a price increase of 1,000 Hong Kong dollars, while the RTX 5070 Ti retail price exceeded 10,000 Hong Kong dollars. On domestic online retail platforms, due to tight spot inventory and uneven channel adjustment pacing, some models commanded even higher premiums. Certain non-reference RTX 5060 Ti models experienced a single-day price adjustment of nearly 2,000 yuan.
The primary reason for this round of graphics card price increases is the sustained rise in GDDR7 memory chip costs. As a core component of the RTX 50 series, the sharp increase in GDDR7 procurement prices has directly compressed profit margins for graphics card manufacturers, with cost pressures along the upstream and downstream supply chain continuing to pass through, prompting this official unified price adjustment. This marks the first such broad price adjustment by NVIDIA since 2000.
According to NVIDIA's official plan, this price adjustment will be fully implemented by August. Currently, a small amount of pre-adjustment inventory remains on the market, and some offline stores have already begun modest price increases in advance, with the current increases relatively limited.
