Over 20 Titanium Dioxide Producers Launch Sixth 2026 Price Increase

Published: Updated: By 24TopNews Editorial Desk

On September 11, leading titanium dioxide producer Longbai Group issued a price-increase notice, raising domestic prices by RMB 700 per tonne and international prices by USD 100 per tonne. Annada, Taineng Chemical, Dawn Titanium and more than 20 other companies followed with identical increases, marking the industry's sixth round of price hikes in 2026. The moves come as high raw-material costs, production cuts and the traditional peak season tighten supply.

On September 11, leading titanium dioxide producer Longbai Group issued a price-increase notice, adjusting its titanium dioxide product prices by RMB 700 per tonne in the domestic market and USD 100 per tonne in the international market. Annada, Taineng Chemical, Dawn Titanium and more than 20 other companies subsequently issued price-increase notices with increases identical to Longbai Group's. This marked the start of the sixth round of titanium dioxide price increases in 2026.

The increase was driven by multiple factors. On the cost side, prices of raw materials such as sulfuric acid remain elevated, and some companies' ex-factory prices have fallen to the cost line. Against a backdrop of weak market conditions, some companies have curtailed or halted production, bringing a substantive contraction in market supply and reducing low-priced cargoes. September and October are the industry's traditional peak season.

In terms of net profit attributable to parent companies in the first half of 2026, Longbai Group, Taineng Chemical and Anning Shares ranked in the top three, at RMB 844 million, RMB 420 million and RMB 341 million, respectively. Vanadium & Titanium Shares and Tianyuan Shares followed, each with net profit attributable to parent companies above RMB 200 million. In terms of changes, Tianyuan Shares and Lubei Chemical both doubled their net profit attributable to parent companies year on year, with increases of 1,157.84% and 119.46%, respectively. Jinpu Titanium Industry, Taineng Chemical and Huiyun Titanium Industry recorded increases of 92.33%, 61.93% and 46.21%, respectively. Vanadium & Titanium Shares and Annada turned from losses to profits year on year.
