Second Buy-Side Advisory Elite Training Camp to Open in Shenzhen with 150 Participants
The second Buy-Side Advisory Elite Training Camp will be held August 20-21 at the Shenzhen Capital Market Institute, co-hosted by China Southern Asset Management, Zhihui Technology, and Guosen Securities. More than 400 individuals applied, with 150 selected. Ten mentors will cover topics including macro analysis, client engagement, global asset allocation, AI tools, and index investing.
The second Buy-Side Advisory Elite Training Camp will take place August 20-21 at the Shenzhen Capital Market Institute, co-hosted by China Southern Asset Management, Zhihui Technology, and Guosen Securities. The inaugural camp was held in April 2026 at Shanghai Jiao Tong University's Xuhui campus, with 150 investment advisory trainees from across the country participating. Recruitment for the second camp began in late July, drawing more than 400 applicants, of whom 150 were ultimately admitted.
The second camp brings together ten mentors covering macro analysis, client engagement, global asset allocation, AI tool applications, high-net-worth client services, and index investing. Li Bin, general manager of the Investment Advisory Center and Fund Advisory Center within Guosen Securities' Wealth Management and Institutional Business Division, will share Guosen's practical approach in the buy-side advisory transition. Chen Ming, vice president of CICC Wealth Securities, will discuss CICC Wealth's experience in advisory system development and client engagement models. Li Wenliang, general manager of China Southern Asset Management's Asset Allocation and Solutions Department, will explain asset allocation and fund selection under FOF investment practice.
Zhang Xinzhe, chief investment strategist at CSOP Asset Management, will interpret investment frameworks amid global shifts and cross-border product solutions. Wang Changhua, founder of Huashi He'an Family Office, will analyze Chinese family enterprises' needs in wealth succession, governance structures, and asset isolation. Wang Lei, lead manager of the Bank Screwdriver platform, will share methods for client engagement during the investment process. Gong Tao, head of China Southern Asset Management's Index Research Department, will discuss building paths from ETF portfolios to index solutions. Liu Chuang, an investment manager at a leading public fund, will explain the operational logic of global equity markets. The camp also includes a special session on AI-enabled pathways for buy-side advisory, as well as macro analysis of the Chinese economy amid global changes.
The camp features immersive hands-on workshops to consolidate participants' learning. All 150 trainees have been confirmed, and applicants who were not selected will receive priority for the next session. Participants will subsequently gain access to information updates, expert Q&A sessions, and case reviews, and will build professional connections with peers nationwide.
