Seven Humanoid Robot Test Method Standards Launched; Hubei Forms Working Group
On August 13, a meeting in Wuhan's Optics Valley launched the drafting of seven national standards for humanoid robot test methods, covering general principles, environment perception, decision planning, and motion control. The Hubei Provincial Electronic Information Standardization Technical Committee inaugurated a humanoid robot and embodied intelligence standards working group with 29 founding members, including companies such as Unitree, Xiaomi Robotics, ZTE, and universities like Wuhan University and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The group will support the development of the standards series.
On August 13, the kickoff meeting for the national standard series “Test Methods for Humanoid Robots” was held in Optics Valley, with seven standards—general principles, environment perception, decision planning, motion control, among others—starting their drafting simultaneously. More than 200 industry representatives from domestic companies including Unitree, Xiaomi Robotics, Magic Atom, ZTE, Deep Robotics, Horizon Robotics, Lingxin Qiaoshou, and Galaxy General, as well as from universities such as Wuhan University, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Northwestern Polytechnical University, China Jiliang University, and University of Bamberg, attended the event.
At the meeting, the Humanoid Robot and Embodied Intelligence Standard Working Group under the Hubei Provincial Electronic Information Standardization Technical Committee was inaugurated. Its first batch of members comprises 29 units, including the Hubei Humanoid Robot Innovation Center, the Hubei Institute of Measurement and Testing Technology, Wuhan University, and Huazhong University of Science and Technology. The working group will provide organizational support for the drafting of the test method standards series, which cover key technology areas such as environment perception, decision planning, and motion control.
