Three Gorges Hub Annual Throughput Surpasses 100 Million Tonnes by Aug 13, 2026

As of 00:40 on August 13, 2026, the Three Gorges hub's total throughput reached 100 million tonnes.

Of this, the Three Gorges ship lock operated 5,863 lockages, passing 21,562 vessel transits, with a throughput of 97.276 million tonnes; the Three Gorges ship lift operated 2,557 chambers, passing 2,590 vessel transits, and carried 446,000 passengers. During the same period, 28.468 million tonnes of daily necessities and 778,000 tonnes of key urgent cargo were facilitated for smooth passage through the dam.
