On September 9, WeChat added a new entry point for publishing private Moments posts, which is currently in grayscale testing on iOS and Android clients. After publishing a Moments post, users can select "Set to Private" or convert private content to public.
Previously, users had to manually select the "Private" option to publish a private Moments post. The new entry point provides a quicker way to publish private Moments. Tencent customer service stated that private Moments is a recently introduced feature by WeChat, currently undergoing grayscale testing on iOS and Android clients, with adaptation for other device models in progress.
