Seirei Christopher Wins Second Straight Shizuoka Title, Secures Summer Koshien Berth
Seirei Christopher defeated Tokoha Daigaku Kikugawa 4-2 in the final of the 108th National High School Baseball Championship Shizuoka Prefectural Tournament on July 27, winning their second consecutive title after the 2025 summer. The team scored four runs in the first inning on a home run by Koganezawa with the bases loaded. Tokoha's pitcher Fukuda recovered to strike out five batters but his team could only score two runs in the ninth inning. Seirei's pitcher Takabe threw a complete game with 10 strikeouts and a personal-best fastball of 150 km/h, securing a second straight Summer Koshien appearance. Coach Tanaka Kōtaka won the Shizuoka tournament in his first year.

In the bottom of the first inning, leadoff hitter Oshima hit a timely single, followed by a timely single from Miyamoto that loaded the bases with one out. Koganezawa then hit a home run, giving Seirei a 4-0 lead. Tokoha's starting pitcher Fukuda regained his form from the second inning, striking out five consecutive batters. However, despite hits by Horiuchi in the third inning and Sato in the fourth, Tokoha failed to score. In the ninth inning, Koyanagi, Sato, and Ogawa hit timely singles to drive in two runs, but the rally fell short, and Tokoha could not achieve its first title in eight years.
Seirei's starting pitcher Takabe pitched a complete game of nine innings, recording a personal-best fastball of 150 km/h and 10 strikeouts, helping the team qualify for the Summer Koshien for the second straight year. Coach Tanaka Kōtaka led the team to the Shizuoka tournament championship in his first year at the helm.
