Anthropic CEO's Wife Held Epstein Talks, Got No Investment; IPO Planned for 2026 at $2 Trillion

Camille Clarke, wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, discussed several startup ideas with Jeffrey Epstein between 2011 and 2012, but no investment was made. The contacts included a proposed free premium adult-content site and a women's health venture. Anthropic plans an initial public offering in 2026 at a valuation of $2 trillion. Clarke, who married Amodei in 2022, later invited Epstein to events and connected with him on LinkedIn. No evidence suggests further meetings. Epstein associates face increased scrutiny, though many have not been charged.

Camille Clarke, wife of Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei, engaged with Jeffrey Epstein on multiple startup projects between 2011 and 2012, with related email records included in the Epstein archive. Clarke, a founder herself, married Amodei in 2022. The first contact came in March 2011, when Clarke dined with Epstein via literary agent John Brockman, joined by her business partner Michelle Capocella. From the following day, Clarke began emailing Epstein details of financing needs and project materials. The approaches covered a company she described as offering “free premium adult content” and a women's health startup. The archive shows no evidence that Epstein ultimately invested in either venture. Communication continued until March 2012, when Clarke again contacted Epstein to ask whether he would consider investing in a project she was developing with partners. The archive does not record a final investment by Epstein. This engagement occurred several years after Epstein's 2008 conviction for solicitation and registration as a sex offender. The March 2012 exchange is the longest dialogue between Clarke and Epstein in the archive. At that time, Clarke also introduced another female entrepreneur working on an underwear brand. Epstein initially did not recognize Clarke, but after being reminded, he said he remembered her and was very impressed. Clarke then proposed meeting in New York; Epstein said he was in the Caribbean but would look at viable projects. Epstein commented that “television pornography is not feasible,” to which Clarke replied, “I also think it's not. ” Clarke also introduced Epstein to her social dieting app and its companion website, which could collect data from health-monitoring devices and generate visual health-information charts, with users choosing whether to share. In July 2012, Clarke invited Epstein to a housewarming party. In 2013, they became LinkedIn connections. No evidence exists of any further in-person meetings. Public records show that between 2011 and 2012, Clarke conceived multiple startup projects, including the “free premium adult content” company for women and the social dieting app. The existing archive does not record whether Epstein responded to the dieting project. Separately, there have been efforts to remove public information about Clarke from the internet. Public data lists Amodei's net worth at $15.5 billion, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman at $3.4 billion, and Elon Musk, who leads the Grok project, at $863.2 billion. People associated with Epstein have recently been under increased scrutiny, with some summoned to testify before Congress. Many notable figures who had contact with Epstein have never been accused of any wrongdoing.
