Bank of America VP Fatally Stabbed in Times Square; Suspect Shot Dead by Police
On September 1, Bank of America confirmed that its 32-year-old vice president, Irene Piacenti, was fatally stabbed in New York's Times Square. A 68-year-old unidentified man was also injured and is in stable condition. Police shot and killed 49-year-old suspect Pamela Cisneros, who had a history of mental health issues.
On September 1, Bank of America, the second-largest bank in the United States, confirmed that its 32-year-old vice president, Irene Piacenti, was fatally stabbed in Times Square, New York. According to her LinkedIn profile, Piacenti served as vice president in the bank's business selection and conflict-of-interest division. In the same attack, an unidentified 68-year-old man was also stabbed and is currently in stable condition. The incident occurred at approximately 4:30 p. m. local time.
Upon arrival, police found 49-year-old Pamela Cisneros wielding two large knives and advancing toward officers. Officers shot Cisneros, who was later pronounced dead. Police stated that Cisneros had a history of mental health issues.
