Chiba Prefectural Police's official Instagram account posted 'dance videos' that have drawn attention, with one video exceeding 4.5 million views. The videos aim to promote fraud prevention and traffic safety. Comments such as 'I'm already a fan! I'll be careful about fraud' appeared below the videos. The police public relations section said they did not expect the videos to be so popular.
In mid-May, music played in the press conference room of the prefectural police headquarters. Officers were trying to film dance videos in front of the camera, with a public relations officer reminding, 'Public relations officer, a little closer.' The original intention of making these videos was to make the public feel familiar and interested in the police. In 2024, the then-person in charge explained to superiors that 'young people are using Instagram,' and efforts to post content began in July of the same year.
Initially, video views were only 50 to 100, but one day they suddenly increased to 100,000. The prefectural police analyzed and selected popular songs on social media, and this approach proved effective. Among them, a video promoting anti-fraud measures set to the song 'Ai♡Scream!' by the popular group AiScReam has garnered over 4.5 million views, becoming a hot topic.
