China Raises Fuel Prices on Aug 28: Gasoline Up RMB 375/Ton, Diesel Up RMB 360/Ton
China's top economic planner announced that from 24:00 on August 28, domestic gasoline and diesel standard product prices will rise by RMB 375 per ton and RMB 360 per ton, respectively, reflecting changes in international oil prices. The adjustment follows a period of fluctuating global crude prices since the last domestic fuel price change on August 14.
The National Development and Reform Commission announced that from 24:00 on August 28, domestic gasoline and diesel (standard product) prices will rise by RMB 375 per ton and RMB 360 per ton, respectively. The adjustment is based on changes in international oil market prices.
Since the previous domestic fuel price adjustment on August 14, international crude oil prices have fluctuated. The average price over the 10 working days before this adjustment was higher than the average over the 10 working days before the previous adjustment.
