China to Renovate 115,000 Old Urban Residential Communities in 15th Five-Year Plan
On September 18, Zhang Qiang, director of the Urban Management Supervision Department of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, presented arrangements for the renovation of old urban residential communities during the 15th Five-Year Plan period at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office.
Zhang said that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, China will begin renovation of 115,000 old urban residential communities nationwide, carry out complete-community construction and renovation in 5,000 communities, and renew or install 575,000 residential elevators.
