China's August Industrial Value Added Rises 5.2% Year on Year, Up 0.7 Points From July

China's value added of industrial enterprises above designated size rose 5.2% year on year in August, 0.7 percentage points faster than in July, the National Bureau of Statistics said. On a month-on-month basis, the measure grew 0.54%. For January to August, industrial value added was up 5.3% year on year. Industrial profits for January to July totaled RMB 4,582.1 billion, up 17.6%.

Value added of industrial enterprises above designated size rose 5.2% year on year in real terms in August, 0.7 percentage points faster than the previous month, data from the National Bureau of Statistics showed. All growth rates for value added are real rates adjusted for price factors. On a month-on-month basis, value added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased 0.54% in August.

For January to August, value added of industrial enterprises above designated size rose 5.3% year on year. For January to July, industrial enterprises above designated size posted total profits of RMB 4,582.1 billion, up 17.6% year on year.
