In the first half of 2026, China's services trade totaled RMB 3,779.75 billion, up 8.3% year on year. In the first half, knowledge-intensive services trade reached RMB 1,663.4 billion, up 6.7%, accounting for 44% of total services trade. Knowledge-intensive services exports rose 12.8% to RMB 805.67 billion, representing 53.5% of total services exports; imports increased 1.4% to RMB 857.73 billion.
In the first half, travel services exports grew 31.1% to RMB 229.2 billion, the fastest among the top five services export categories. Transport services imports rose 30.4% to RMB 498.1 billion, the fastest among the top five services import categories.
