China H1 2026 Logistics Costs at RMB 9.6 Trillion, Up 4.6%, Saving RMB 70 Billion
The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released data for the first half of 2026, showing total social logistics costs of RMB 9.6 trillion, a year-on-year increase of 4.6%. The ratio of total costs to GDP stood at 13.9%, down 0.1 percentage point from both the first quarter of 2026 and the same period in 2025. Based on H1 2026 GDP, total logistics cost savings reached nearly RMB 70 billion.
Data for the first half of 2026 on social logistics operations was released. During the period, social logistics operations were generally stable, with continued progress in cost reduction and efficiency improvement, and steady enhancement of logistics effectiveness.
