China's NDRC Chief Zheng Shanjie Meets Five Private Enterprises on Investment

Zheng Shanjie, head of China's National Development and Reform Commission, chaired a symposium with five private companies from electrical equipment, computing infrastructure, cultural tourism, elderly care, and commercial space. Executives said 2026 policies supporting effective investment and major projects had improved the environment for private investment. The NDRC pledged targeted measures, regular project promotion by sector, and orderly opening of application scenarios to expand private capital participation.

Executives from five companies attended the symposium: Delixi Group, Runze Technology, Qingming Shanghe Garden, Ruizhi Kangjian, and LandSpace, drawn from the electrical equipment, computing infrastructure, cultural tourism services, elderly care services, and commercial space sectors. Shen Zhulin, deputy head of the National Development and Reform Commission, attended, along with the principal officials of the General Office, the Comprehensive Department, and the Private Economy Development Bureau, as well as officials from the Investment Department.

The participating executives spoke on the theme of the meeting. They generally held that since 2026 the state has adhered to the strategic basis of expanding domestic demand, actively promoted effective investment, accelerated the deployment of government investment funds, advanced the construction of major national projects and large-scale equipment renewal and consumer goods trade-in programs, and supported private enterprises in participating in major engineering projects, creating a policy environment for enterprises to expand investment and improve the quality of their development.

The National Development and Reform Commission will focus on key industries and fields where private enterprises have a strong willingness to invest and ample room for growth, adopt targeted and practical measures, enhance the sense of gain of private enterprises, and encourage private capital to invest with confidence, invest viably, and participate more. The commission will also improve the mechanism for regular communication and exchange with private enterprises, regularly promote high-quality investment projects by industry and by field, orderly open application scenarios in key areas, promote the close integration of hard investment and soft development, continuously optimize the investment environment, expand investment channels, and take multiple measures to promote the high-quality development of the private economy.
