China's Non-Financial Direct Investment in Belt and Road Countries Falls 5.5% in Jan-Jul 2026
From January to July 2026, Chinese enterprises' non-financial direct investment in countries co-building the Belt and Road Initiative reached RMB 151.99 billion, down 5.5% year-on-year; in dollar terms, it stood at US$22.1 billion, a 1.4% decline.
During the same period, the completed turnover of foreign contracted projects in these countries reached RMB 603.28 billion, up 10.8% year-on-year; in dollar terms, it was US$87.72 billion, up 15.6%. Newly signed contracts amounted to RMB 915.3 billion, down 3.4% year-on-year; in dollar terms, it was US$133.09 billion, up 0.8%.
