Elderly Man on Mobility Scooter Struck by Train in Aichi, Unconscious

Around 5:30 a. m. on the 28th, an elderly man riding a mobility scooter was struck by a regular train at a level crossing on the Nagoya Railway Nishio Line in Nishio, Aichi Prefecture. The man was taken to hospital in an unconscious and critical condition. About 60 passengers and crew members on the train were all uninjured.
