Houthi Drone Strikes Saudi Aramco Facility in Najran, Ballistic Missile Attack on Yemen's Mocha Port Kills 4

On April 14, Houthi military spokesman Yahya Sarea said the group had fired multiple ballistic missiles in the Mocha area, targeting Saudi military positions, equipment, and a warship under Saudi control. Sarea claimed the strikes hit their targets, destroyed the warship's equipment, and caused dozens of casualties among Saudi-backed forces. He added that the group would continue to strike Saudi military positions.

Yemeni media reported that the Houthis used a drone to attack facilities of state-owned oil company Saudi Aramco in the Najran region of southern Saudi Arabia. The Houthi group said the attack was in response to Saudi violations of Yemen's sovereignty and airspace. The previous day, Yemeni media had reported a Houthi drone strike on a Saudi Aramco refinery in the Jizan region of southern Saudi Arabia.

On the same day, Yemeni government forces announced that the Houthis had fired six ballistic missiles at the Mocha port in southwestern Yemen, targeting civilian and state infrastructure. Yemeni media reported that a missile strike on a residential area in Mocha killed four people. Yemen's Health Ministry condemned the attack, noting that the western coastal region already suffers from malnutrition and displacement, and that the strike on the port would hamper food and medicine supplies, increasing risks for vulnerable populations. The ministry warned of serious humanitarian consequences and called on the international community to protect civilian infrastructure, ensure delivery of humanitarian aid, and boost local health and nutritional assistance.
