100-Day Countdown to 9th CIIE: ICBC Unveils Full Financial Solutions, 100 Overseas Roadshows in 40+ Countries

As the 100-day countdown to the 9th China International Import Expo (CIIE) began on July 27, ICBC, a full partner, released comprehensive financial solutions for the event. The bank has held 100 overseas roadshows in over 40 countries across six continents, leveraging its 410 overseas institutions in 69 countries. Services include multi-currency accounts, cross-border settlements, trade finance, and digital payment solutions for exhibitors, buyers, and individual customers. ICBC will also host the China-Europe Business Conference and a sub-forum of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum during the expo.

The ninth China International Import Expo (CIIE) will be held in Shanghai from November 5 to 10. On July 27, the CIIE marked the 100-day countdown. Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), as a full partner of the CIIE, released its comprehensive financial solutions for the ninth CIIE, deeply embedded in all CIIE scenarios, focusing on the trade, investment, hedging, and treasury management needs of exhibitors and buyers, and providing comprehensive financial services for exhibitors, purchasers, and individual customers.

Relying on its network of 410 overseas institutions covering 69 countries and regions globally, ICBC has assisted the CIIE Bureau in holding a cumulative 100 overseas roadshow and promotion events in more than 40 countries across six continents. This year, ICBC hosted the first global promotion event for the ninth CIIE in Hong Kong, and supported multiple promotion events in Australia, Argentina, South Korea, Spain, France, Kenya, and other places. Domestically, ICBC participated in the first investment promotion roadshow in Suzhou, Jiangsu, and supported roadshows in Qingdao, Shandong, and Urumqi, Xinjiang. The pre-expo recruitment and promotion activities were integrated with the Ministry of Commerce's 'Shared Large Market · Export to China' series of brand events. ICBC launched 'Export to China' activities in multiple provinces and cities including Zhejiang, Shandong, and Liaoning, as well as in key overseas regions such as Berlin, Germany, and London, UK.

For exhibitors, ICBC provides pre-expo recruitment and promotion, on-site booth display, and access to key domestic buyers, as well as financial services including multi-currency global accounts, cross-border settlement, supply chain financing, and global treasury management. For buyers, ICBC offers pre-expo investment roadshows, ICBC trade group organization and registration services, builds a cross-border settlement system based on 'ICBC Suhui' and 'ICBC e-Miaoda', and supports trade finance throughout the procurement cycle. It has launched 'Cross-border e-Diantong' and 'Cross-border e-Cangtong' to meet the financial needs of new foreign trade formats. For individual customers, more than 1,600 ATMs and over 3,000 foreign card POS terminals across Shanghai accept major overseas bank cards. Products such as foreign card binding and card-code payment enable mobile payments, and mobile banking service vehicles provide on-site service support.

During the ninth CIIE, ICBC will continue to host the China-Europe Business Conference and organize a sub-forum of the Hongqiao International Economic Forum, inviting Chinese and foreign dignitaries and business representatives to discuss topics such as high-level opening-up and economic and trade cooperation. ICBC will set up a distinctive booth in the agricultural and food products exhibition area as a financial institution entrusted with exhibition. ICBC Shanghai Branch will ensure service support for the 'two conferences and one exhibition', cooperate with the CIIE Bureau to hold a selection event for key buyers and a buyer corridor, organize special events around the CIIE guest of honor countries and the 'Export to China' theme countries, and use digital and intelligent platforms to provide matchmaking services for exhibitors and buyers.
