Iran Plans to Restore 95 Million Cubic Metres of Daily Gas Output by End-September
Iranian Oil Minister Mohsen Paknejad said on the 11th that Iran is repairing natural gas production facilities damaged in the hostilities and plans to raise average daily gas output capacity by 95 million cubic metres by end-September. The figure represents nearly half of the daily gas production Iran lost as a result of the conflict.
The Oil Ministry said the country will restore by end-September about 95 million cubic metres of daily gas capacity lost when the Assaluyeh gas processing facility in southern Iran came under attack. Since the United States and Israel launched military operations against Iran in late February, Iran's daily gas output has fallen by a cumulative total of about 230 million cubic metres.
