MIIT to Accelerate 6G Core Tech Development and Ecosystem Building in 15th Five-Year Plan
China's Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) will accelerate core 6G technology development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, aiming to mature the industry and build its ecosystem. Liu Yulin, director of the MIIT's Department of Information and Communication Development, said the ministry will continue 6G technical trials and standards development to prepare for commercial deployment.

Liu Yulin, director of the Department of Information and Communication Development at the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), stated at a press conference held by the State Council Information Office under the theme "A Strong Start to the 15th Five-Year Plan" that the country will accelerate breakthroughs in core 6G technologies, continue technical trials and standards development, and foster industry maturity and ecosystem building to prepare for 6G commercialization.
