Chinese Premier Li Qiang visited Guangxi for a three-day research trip in late April, during which he inspected the Madao construction site of the Pinglu Canal in Qinzhou, listened to briefings on the canal's construction, and observed smart port operations at the Qinzhou automated container terminal of Beibu Gulf Port. Chinese Vice Premier He Lifeng visited Sichuan for a four-day research trip in late June.
