PBOC Logs RMB 1.72 Trillion Net Withdrawal, Conducts RMB 500 Billion Outright Reverse Repos

This week, the central bank conducted RMB 116.5 billion in seven-day reverse repo operations and RMB 300 billion in overnight reverse repo operations in the open market. With RMB 2.142 trillion in reverse repos maturing this week, the week registered a net withdrawal of RMB 1.7225 trillion. Separately, RMB 300 billion in 91-day outright reverse repos matured this week, and the central bank conducted RMB 500 billion in 92-day outright reverse repo operations.

Next week, RMB 116.5 billion in reverse repos will mature in the central bank's open market operations, with RMB 63 billion, RMB 46.5 billion, RMB 5 billion, RMB 1 billion and RMB 1 billion due from Monday through Friday, respectively. In addition, RMB 1 trillion in 182-day outright reverse repos will mature next Friday.
