Shandong's Jan-July Industrial Output Rises 7.2%, Services Revenue Up 5.6%
Shandong reported on Aug. 24 that its industrial value-added output grew 7.2% year on year in January-July, with 32 of 41 major industrial sectors posting growth, a 78.0% expansion rate. Service-sector revenue rose 5.6% in January-June, as all 10 major service categories grew. Resident services, repairs and other services surged 12.3%, while leasing and business services gained 9.0%.
On Aug. 24, the Shandong Provincial Bureau of Statistics and the Shandong Survey Office of the National Bureau of Statistics released the province's economic performance for January-July. During the period, the value-added output of industrial enterprises above designated size grew 7.2% year on year. By sector, 32 of the 41 major industrial categories recorded growth, giving an industry-wide expansion rate of 78.0%.
The services sector remained stable. In January-June, revenue of service enterprises above designated size rose 5.6% year on year, with all 10 major service categories achieving growth. Within this, revenue from resident services, repairs and other services climbed 12.3%, while that from leasing and business services increased 9.0%.
