First-Half Social Security Fund Revenue and Expenditure Stable, Cumulative Balance Exceeds 11 Trillion Yuan

As of the end of June, the number of participants in China's basic pension insurance, unemployment insurance, and work injury insurance (including occupational injury protection) stood at 1.076 billion, 249 million, and 323 million, respectively. From January to June, the total revenue of the three social insurance funds reached RMB 4.88 trillion, while total expenditure was RMB 4.14 trillion. The cumulative balance as of the end of June was RMB 11.07 trillion, indicating generally stable fund operations.
