US Judge Hickson Sets Late-October Meeting in Paramount Skydance-Warner Bros. Discovery Suit
A US magistrate judge in San Francisco, Thomas Hickson, has asked Paramount Skydance and a group of state attorneys general to set a meeting date in late October for settlement talks in the lawsuit over the USD 110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery.
The Writers Guild of America West will also take part in the talks, which will be presided over by Hickson.
A spokesperson for California Attorney General Rob Bonta said the court-ordered settlement conference only means the judge has asked the parties to meet, and does not indicate that a settlement is in progress.
