Water Resources Ministry Holds Party Group Meeting to Advance Modern Water Network and Digital Twin

On August 6, Li Guoying, Party Secretary and Minister of Water Resources, chaired a party group meeting to convey and study the spirit of the Central Political Bureau meeting held on July 30 and to formulate implementation measures. The meeting called for unifying thinking and action with the Party Central Committee's major assessment of the current economic situation and its decisions and arrangements for the next phase of economic work, adhering to the general principle of pursuing progress while ensuring stability, fully, accurately and comprehensively implementing the new development philosophy, coordinating development and security, and unswervingly deepening water conservancy reform.

The meeting specified that the planning and construction of the modern water network should be solidly advanced, long-term stable support for basic water conservancy research should be strengthened, and the development of the digital twin water conservancy system should be accelerated. In parallel, efforts should be coordinated across rural revitalization water security, water ecological environment protection and governance, and water conservancy safety production, so that the water sector can contribute to steering the economy toward sustained new, better and higher-quality development and securing a strong start to the 15th Five-Year Plan period.
