A-Share Firms Post 7.63% Revenue Growth in H1

All 5,554 A-share listed companies have reported first-half results, with combined revenue of RMB 37.68 trillion, up 7.63% year on year, and net profit attributable to shareholders of RMB 3.58 trillion, up 19.40%. Revenue growth was more widespread than profit growth, with 63.4% of firms increasing revenue but only 46.2% raising profit. Sectors such as auto parts and consumer electronics led the gains.

All 5,554 A-share listed companies have now disclosed their 2026 interim reports. In the first half, these companies generated combined operating revenue of RMB 37.68 trillion, up 7.63% year on year, and attributable net profit of RMB 3.58 trillion, up 19.40%.

Among the 5,554 companies, 3,520, or about 63.4%, reported revenue growth, while 2,565, or about 46.2%, saw attributable net profit increase. The share of companies with rising revenue was notably higher than the share with rising profit. A total of 1,941 companies achieved growth in both revenue and profit, while 1,410 saw both decline. In addition, 1,096 companies, nearly 20% of all A-share firms, experienced higher revenue but lower attributable net profit.

By sector, gains were concentrated in auto parts, general equipment, chemicals, specialized equipment, power grid equipment, consumer electronics, and medical devices.
