Shanghai Composite Up 1.15% to 3858, Turnover 2.08 Trillion Yuan; Changxin Surges 466% on STAR Market Debut

China's A-share markets closed higher. The Shanghai Composite rose 1.15% to 3858 points, the Shenzhen Component gained 2.72% to 14148, the CSI 300 added 1.15% to 4702, and the ChiNext advanced 3.16% to 3590. Total turnover reached RMB 2.08 trillion. In its debut on the Shanghai STAR Market, Changxin Technology (688825. SH) surged 466% to close at RMB 49 from its IPO price of RMB 8.66, giving it a market capitalization of nearly RMB 3.28 trillion. Sector-wise, chemicals rose nearly 4%, while aircraft manufacturing, electronics, and media gained over 3%.

In sector performance, the chemical sector rose nearly 4%. Aircraft manufacturing, electronics, and media sectors gained more than 3%. Nonferrous metals, steel, and real estate sectors rose more than 2%. Automobile manufacturing and electricity sectors gained more than 1%. Coal and financial sectors were steady. The oil sector fell more than 2%, and the cement sector was soft.
