A-Share Market Cap Structure Diverges in Q2: Two More Trillion-RMB Firms, 38 More Above 100 Billion, Median

In the second quarter, the market capitalization structure of A-share listed companies showed a divergence. The number of companies with a market cap above RMB 1 trillion increased by two, namely Zhongji Innolight and Cambricon Technologies. Companies with a market cap above RMB 100 billion increased by 38, and those above RMB 50 billion increased by 76. Companies with a market cap between RMB 5 billion and RMB 50 billion decreased by 270, while those below RMB 5 billion increased by 226. At the end of the first half, the market-wide median market cap was RMB 6.15 billion, down RMB 330 million from the end of the previous quarter.
