A-Share Markets Surge at Close on July 27; Shanghai Composite Rises 1.15%

On July 27, A-share markets staged a late-session surge, with the Shanghai Composite Index closing up 1.15% at 3858.25 points. The Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.72%, and the ChiNext Index rose 3.16%. Turnover across the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing exchanges reached approximately RMB 2.09 trillion, with nearly 5,200 stocks advancing. Sector gains were led by semiconductors, chemicals, tourism, pharmaceuticals, non-ferrous metals, and power, while concept stocks such as PCB, brain-computer interface, CPO, and glass substrate were active.

On July 27, the major stock indices of the two main exchanges fluctuated higher during the session and surged across the board in the final stretch. The Shanghai Composite Index rose more than 1%, while the ChiNext Index surged over 3%, with nearly 5,200 stocks in the A-share market closing in positive territory. At the close, the Shanghai Composite Index was up 1.15% at 3858.25 points, the Shenzhen Component Index gained 2.72%, the ChiNext Index rose 3.16%, the Sci-Tech Composite Index added 2.49%, and the Beijing Stock Exchange 50 Index also rose more than 2%. Total turnover on the Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Beijing exchanges was approximately RMB 2.09 trillion. In terms of sectors, semiconductors, chemicals, tourism and catering, pharmaceuticals, non-ferrous metals, and power advanced, while concept stocks including PCB, brain-computer engineering, CPO, and glass substrate were active.
