A-Share Morning Close: Shanghai Up 0.20%, Shenzhen Down 1.13%, 74 Limit-Up Stocks
Shanghai Composite rose 0.20% to 3,947.91 points at the morning close, while Shenzhen Component fell 1.13% to 14,148.86 points. ChiNext dropped 2.18% and STAR 50 slipped 1.57%. Of tradable A-shares, 3,441 rose (62.13%), 1,973 fell, and 124 were flat. Seventy-four stocks hit the daily limit up, with the pharmaceutical sector leading at 13. Meinian Health had the largest seal order at 106.70 million shares.
As of the morning close, the Shanghai Composite Index stood at 3,947.91 points, up 0.20%; the Shenzhen Component Index closed at 14,148.86 points, down 1.13%; the ChiNext Index fell 2.18%; and the STAR 50 Index slipped 1.57%. Excluding new listings on the day, among tradable A-shares, 3,441 stocks rose, accounting for 62.13%, 1,973 fell, and 124 were flat. At the close, 74 stocks hit the daily limit up, and 5 hit the limit down.
Among the limit-up stocks, 73 were on the main board and 1 on the ChiNext. By industry, the pharmaceutical and biological sector had the most limit-ups with 13, followed by basic chemicals with 8 and electronics with 6. Three stocks, including ST Ruyi and ST Meike, were ST stocks. In terms of consecutive limit-up days, Baoding Technology and Baihua Pharmaceutical each recorded five consecutive limit-up boards, the highest among all stocks.
By the size of limit-up seal orders at the morning close, Meinian Health led with 106.70 million shares, followed by Harbin Pharmaceutical with 69.03 million shares and Landun Optoelectronics with 64.58 million shares. In terms of seal order value, Landun Optoelectronics, Baihua Pharmaceutical, and Meinian Health ranked at the top, with sealed funds of RMB 1.473 billion, RMB 677 million, and RMB 566 million, respectively.
