BlackRock's Q2 13F Holdings Rise 18% to $6.73 Trillion, Adds AI Chip Stocks, Cuts Costco

BlackRock's second-quarter 2026 U. S. equity holdings report showed total market value of $6.73 trillion, up 18% quarter over quarter from $5.72 trillion. Nvidia remained the top holding with a 5.77% portfolio weight, up 0.85%, followed by Apple at 5.00%, up 1.6%. All top ten positions increased in share count, with Microsoft up 2.37%, Amazon up 1.75%, Alphabet Class A up 3.13%, Broadcom up 3.18%, Alphabet Class C up 1.42%, Micron up 1.63%, Meta up 2.7% and Tesla up 2.9%. The firm bought Micron, AMD, Applied Materials, Marvell and KLA, while selling Costco, Honeywell, Berkshire Hathaway B, AT&T and Johnson & Johnson.

BlackRock submitted its second-quarter U. S. equity holdings report for the period ended June 30, 2026, in August 2026. The report showed total holdings market value of $6.73 trillion, up 18% from $5.72 trillion in the previous quarter. Among the top ten holdings, Nvidia ranked first with approximately 1.942 billion shares, valued at about $388.558 billion, representing 5.77% of the portfolio, up 0.85% from the prior quarter. Apple ranked second with around 1.163 billion shares, valued at about $336.525 billion, accounting for 5.00%, up 1.6% from the prior quarter. Microsoft ranked third with about 607 million shares, valued at roughly $226.560 billion, representing 3.37%, up 2.37%. Amazon ranked fourth with about 748 million shares, valued at approximately $178.374 billion, accounting for 2.65%, up 1.75%. Alphabet Class A ranked fifth with about 461 million shares, valued at roughly $164.738 billion, representing 2.45%, up 3.13%. Positions ranked sixth through tenth were Broadcom, Alphabet Class C, Micron Technology, Meta and Tesla. Broadcom had about 398 million shares, valued at approximately $150.425 billion, up 3.18%; Alphabet Class C had about 370 million shares, valued at roughly $130.705 billion, up 1.42%; Micron Technology had about 105 million shares, valued at approximately $121.001 billion, up 1.63%; Meta had about 173 million shares, valued at roughly $97.673 billion, up 2.7%; Tesla had about 214 million shares, valued at approximately $90.060 billion, up 2.9%. Share counts for all top ten holdings increased from the prior quarter. In the second quarter, BlackRock's top five bought positions were Micron, AMD, Applied Materials, Marvell Technology and KLA. The top five sold positions were Costco, Honeywell, Berkshire Hathaway Class B, AT&T and Johnson & Johnson. Buys concentrated in semiconductor and memory sectors, while sells spanned consumer, industrial, financial, telecom and healthcare sectors.
