With a market capitalization of approximately $1.75 trillion, the company trails Nvidia, Google, and Apple in size but surpasses Tesla, SpaceX, Eli Lilly, and JPMorgan. Broadcom plans to report its third-quarter earnings after the U. S. market close on Wednesday. Although Broadcom is significantly smaller than Nvidia, Google, and Apple, its market capitalization has approached $2 trillion, currently standing at about $1.75 trillion, exceeding that of Tesla, SpaceX, Eli Lilly, and JPMorgan. Five years ago, only two companies globally had reached a $2 trillion market value.
Following the previous quarter's earnings release, Broadcom's shares fell nearly 13% the next day and accumulated a decline of about 23% over the following month. The company's failure to raise its 2027 AI revenue target triggered the drop. Since then, semiconductor stocks have broadly underperformed.
On August 19, after Marvell and Google announced an expanded partnership, Broadcom's share price fell below its 150-day moving average.
